Here we got herringbone pattern on walls 25 cm x 6 cm – “Hartley White” italian gres tiles from Topps Tiles Challenge, because of cuts in corners and high ceilings, almost 3m high. Customer decided for white grout. I used white matt silicon from BAL Tiling so it looks exacly like grout.
On the floor we got nice porcelain tiles 45 cm x 45 cm with “brooklyn” grout.

And another happy customer! Here you can see a small bathroom, technically en-suite. I had a small challenge with tiling on the ceiling.
Here you can see 30 cm x 60 cm ceramic tiles. They were very porous. So I decided to put sealant before grouting. Apart from fact, that it will reduce absorbing a water, it will remove risk of stain from grout.
Tiles are set on H40 Kerakoll UK Gel. Grout and silicon is Jasmine from BAL Tiling. Keep in mind, this kind of silicon has colour of grout, but moreover it’s matt! Looks exacly like a grout.
Floor is made from 60 cm x 60 cm gres tiles, so much more durable and water resistant.

I didn’t put quartz for a while but it is nice to remind it. It is difficult material, so to cut you need angle grinder with a good blade or wet cutter. And high quality adhesive like Kerakoll.
It is conservatory so during winter is cold here, so I suggested to put some thermal isolation boards.
Quartz was 60 cm x 60 cm. I used 2 cm thermal isolation boards and Kerakoll UK H40 Gell. As a grout – ash, silicon – ebony, both from BAL Tiling

In many new builds you can find, that bathrooms are not fully tiled. Usually, up to 3 rows above bath level. Imagine, what is going with wall when you take a bath and steam goes up.
I was asked to put tiles above existing ones. Challenge on many levels: just tiles – you cannot buy exacly the same 10 years later…. So I suggested to put a line of metro tiles with diffent colour and then continue with something similar to original. And result – you can see ????
First – removing loose paint. Priming with SBR. Tanking to make wall waterproof (must have!), challenge with removing trims and tiling.
