I really enjoy unusual jobs. Most of the people choose metro tiles on splashback. And here – we got a nice elongated hexagon 🙂
Looks really nice and fit with colour with kitchen units.
Took me some time, but I enjoyed it.

Slate floor

Natural stones are difficult to tile. Had to be cut with angle grinder, they are porous so you need to impregnate them with sealant. And grouting is not simple. And material and service are not cheap.

Here is a slate. Customer decided to put tiled skirtings to keep a natural, stone look. Tiled skirting are without trim, cut with mitre cut on corners.

I didn’t do a bathroom for a while, so it was nice to do it again.
Porcelain tiles “Ayce” 30 cm x 60 cm and mosaic from Topps Tiles
Grout and silicon from BAL- “gunmetal” for porcelain and “pecan” for mosaic.

And… Another happy customer. Quite simple job. Wall was in decent condition. I was asked to put this nice 20 cm x 10 cm metro tiles from Topps Tiles from counter – to the ceiling. And this is final effect.

Wood effect hall tiling

Usually I do not put tiles bigger than 60 cm, but I did exception here. I was asked to tile a small hall in just bought house. I had to repair floor in one corner. And the challenge is to make a nice cut all way 120 cm 🙂 Not even talking about cutting around round edges of stairs. But – effect is really nice.

I was asked to replace tiles in customers bathroom because they are moving. After removing few tiles I recognised, that there was a wood and this was reason for unstable tiles. And what even worse – below was water and rotting wood. I couldn’t just put new tiles. I had to repair the floor. But – few planks, OSB board and done! Then – of course – cement boards to remove vertical movement and secure tiles. Apart from that – NoMoPly cement boards are waterproof. Final effect is really nice.
